At Jocks & Jills we pride ourselves on providing exemplary customer service which our servers play the biggest role in.  As a server for Jocks & Jills you will have the opportunity to build a loyal repeat customer base by providing an excellent guest experience to our patrons.  The potential to make great money through tips has always been very exceptional for our employees, which can be evidenced by the amount of turnover we DO NOT have in this position – unlike most establishments in our industry which have constant new employees.  We believe in taking care of our employees and treating them like our family.

Guaranteed $20.00 an hour for servers (including tips and hourly wage)

Server Job Responsibilities: 

  • Serves patrons food and beverages in a positive and friendly manner. 
  • Demonstrates knowledge of our menu items to facilitate patrons with food and beverage selections. 
  • Presents ordered choices in a prompt and efficient manner. 
  • Maintains dining ambiance with an enthusiastic attitude. 
  • Protects establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies. 
  • Helps patrons select food and beverages by suggesting courses, explaining the specialties and answering food preparation questions. 
  • Transmits orders to bar and kitchen by recording patrons’ choices and identifying patrons’ special dietary needs and special requests in the Aloha POS system. 
  • Serves orders by picking up and delivering patrons’ choices from bar and kitchen and delivering accompaniments and condiments from service areas. 
  • Responds to additional patron requirements by inquiring of needs and observing dining process. 
  • Maintains table setting by removing courses as completed, replenishing utensils, refilling water glasses, and being alert to patron spills or other special needs. 
  • Concludes dining experience by acknowledging choice of restaurant and inviting patrons to return. 
  • Obtains revenues by totaling charges, issuing bills, accepting payments, delivering bills and payments to host, and returning change or credit card and signature slip to patrons.

Hostess/Take-Out Specialist

At Jocks & Jills we pride ourselves on providing exemplary customer service which our hosts play a big role in.  As a host for Jocks & Jills you are the face of the restaurant, you are the first and last person the guests interact with – making the host position imperative in ensuring each guest has a great experience.  We believe in taking care of our employees and treating them like our family.    

Hostess Job Responsibilities: 

  • Welcome guests in a warm and friendly manner. 
  • Assures guests had a positive experience by interacting with them as they leave, informing management of any issues immediately. 
  • Ensures each guest leaves with a warm friendly good bye and is asked to come back to visit. 
  • Ascertains their dining needs, special requests are communicated properly to the right channels. 
  • Seats guests and manage the seating chart. 
  • Answer phone calls, assist customers by answering questions in a friendly & professional manner. 
  • Monitors restaurant activity to determine seating and dining flow, determines if wait is needed. 
  • Responds to guest inquiries and requests in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner. 
  • Buss tables as guests leave, getting the table cleared, sanitized & set up for the next guest. 
  • Performs opening and closing duties, as needed. 
  • Assists in maintaining clean and sanitary restrooms, restock as necessary. 
  • Assists others with side work including, but not limited to cleaning, stocking, folding silverware, etc. 
  • Helps fellow team members and other departments wherever necessary to maintain positive working relationships. 

 

 

Take-Out Specialist Job Responsibilities: 

  • Greet guests in a positive and friendly manner. 
  • Answer and end phone calls in a positive and friendly manner. 
  • Promptly inputting orders from in-person/phone/tablet guests ASAP correctly & efficiently. 
  • Demonstrates knowledge of our menu items to facilitate patrons with food and beverage selections. 
  • Ensure all special requests (allergies, etc…) are noted correctly & communicated properly. 
  • Quotes accurate times for pickup orders and notes correctly in tablets (chow now, doordash). 
  • Efficiently handles revenue, accepting payments and returning correct change or credit card signature slip to patrons. 
  • Packages all take-out orders correctly and notes name of patron or item on each box.  Ensuring all correct condiments and sauces are included. 
  • Seals delivery packages correctly with tamper evident stickers.
